SF4 Life - we are a global networked organization that can be there for you from the time you don your Green Beret to even beyond death (not just life). We have a plethora of contacts and network to help you in life.
Approximately 650 Green Berets are discharged from the military each year. The process is not always smooth. Plans often must adapt to unexpected challenges that test our values and purpose. Most of us eventually overcome, get established in our communities and new careers, and later look back on our transition as an essential part of who we are. Some of us later wish the transition could have involved less “suck.” The Special Forces Association understands all this better than any other veteran organization and is uniquely positioned to help the SF veteran.
Earning a Green Beret is a lifelong commitment that extends far outside the team room or our time in the military. There are few things we did as Green Berets where we were the first. Usually, there was another Green Beret to show us the way, increasing our odds of success. Coaching, teaching, mentorship, and support have always been core values of being a Green Beret. That has not changed.
The Special Forces Association is a community and International network of Green Berets. Members are now in every state, across the nation, and in many countries throughout the world as well as almost every industry and career field.
Our members are small business owners, musicians, carpenters, insurance salesmen, authors, law enforcement, entrepreneurs, plumbers, doctors, lawyers, welders, politicians, educators, tradesmen, salesmen, innovators, writers, directors, scientists, researchers, investors, and more. We are proud of the diversity of our members and chapters and anticipate that with our new Teamhouse website, we will have the ability to help members network socially, personally, professionally, and often discreetly.
We know that the first few years after leaving the military can be the hardest, so we want to challenge our members and chapters to engage with members going through this transition process. Just like we did when we wore the Green Beret, we can still provide coaching, teaching, mentorship, and support. This could be a simple phone call or grabbing a cup of coffee to talk about plans and goals. This may result in referring them to a friend or another former Green Beret in a similar career field or who had a similar experience. We believe that our members will play a key role in other members' success, whether in their civilian professions, continuing education, navigating the VA, or simply providing a perspective on being a successful civilian.
Once you move to a new neighborhood, you would be surprised how many fellow members live by you. You now can look up through our member directory members by name, location, group, skill, and even interest.
The Special Forces Association has an incredibly talented and knowledgeable pool of dedicated members. Corporations hire us to lead, manage, and solve problems and businesses hire us to do a job they want done right, the first time. Communities seek our guidance and leadership and young men and women look to emulate us. As Green Berets, we know that mission success is built around a team and not the individual. The Special Forces Association knows that just because you may no longer be in the military, we as Green Berets will continue to provide each other with the coaching, teaching, mentoring, and support that ensured our success in the past.
If your information is updated in your profile, this Teamhouse can even support your family after life. No one knows your career and how you want to be remembered better than you. So fill out your bio, this can be used for as a starting point for your legacy (Taps, Drop announcement, funeral service program, etc.). Placing your next of kin and their phone contact info allows folks to reach out to help your loved one with all the details that go into planning an appropriate military funeral and service. The local SFA chapter can also reach out to support the family, much like a Casualty Assistance Officer does on active duty, but we can do so much more.
SF4 Life gives you an International Network to help you in just about any situation. The more info you place in your bio, the more folks can find the right person for assistance.
